In a few months since we have been evaluating a vaporizer to ease sevofluorà Esteve Veterinaria , to study the possibility of replacing the vaporizers currently use for this new model. The sevofluorà Inhalator is an anesthetic agent that has advantages over the forces isofluorà: time to sleep and waking the patient it very short, it is irritating to the respiratory tract, allowing direct mask inductions with many species of exotic reject isofluorà (rabbits, reptiles , rodents ...) ... eliminated mainly through the lungs, all facts that determined that, despite the investment involved the change is most appropriate for the anesthetic to our patients exotic.

The perfect complement to anesthesia was a sevofluorà capnògraf to control CO2 in the air inspired and expired by the patient, which helps establish the anesthetic plane achieved and also to monitor the evolution of the patient throughout the anesthesia with sevofluorà.

If you are fans of frogs in particular, or other amphibians or reptiles in general, do not miss all day today, Saturday and until 19pm, the "2nd Day of the Frog" will take place at the Centro Cultural calisaia Arenys de Mar.
Organized by co Terribilis and with the collaboration of the City of Arens de Mar and several magazines of the sector, to bring together some 500 frog specimens of over 60 different species. This is a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and tips in the assembly of aquaterraris , maintenance of plants in the diet of amphibians in the care and maintenance of the frogs in captive breeding strategies of these exotic species ... So, all you can discuss topics with other exhibitors and visitors. In addition, you can see all the new developments in heating apparatus, humidity controllers, micro-sprinkler to imitate rain, fog sprays to mimic ... in order to imitate the most of the habitat of the tropical rainy season.

This year, in addition to the commercial exhibition of animals and tools, have organized a series of free lectures on decorative terrariums , reproduction of orchids used in aquaterraris of frogs, and the breeding of urodels (salamanders, newts, axolotls ..) as a way to attract more attention from fans novices, and to guide them in the first steps in this hobby.
As last year, Zoo Veterinary Badalona will be responsible for the sanitary control of the species exposed, and to ensure the welfare conditions of these amphibians so specialized remote tropical areas.
If you come, we find about the exhibition ...!

The 26 children in the class B 2 (which is called "Vets"), seven years old this week have come to visit our school. The children, accompanied by their teacher, Miss. Paula had worked the day before you come visit, and had prepared a long list of questions about the tasks and functions of the veterinary care of companion pets (dogs, cats, parrots, tigers, whales ...!) .
The staff of Zoo Veterinary Badalona have been children, and after viewing all, we proceeded to make a detailed tour of our clinic, showing all rooms, explaining what we do in each one and tell them about our daily work.
What I liked most, was the visit to the area hospital with cages and the animals inside, and the prequiròfan and the operating room, where they could see all the tools and machines used in interventions of different species in question. The riddles with radiographs of exotic species have generated very funny moments.

In the present work we have doubled the available space to 200 square meters, establishing a work area with a wide Prequiròfan with two desks, the operating room table with a surgery , a ward, the Laboratory II processing samples, the library, study room, changing rooms, the services and the courtyard outside.

With these improvements we can expand the activities we carry out and improve the quality of service for our customers.
This work began in mid-April this year and the bulk of the reforms (masons, carpenter, plumber ..) lasted 3 months long, during which we have been working in temporary conditions, restructuring the distribution of spaces and using the new as they were finishing.
