Organized by co Terribilis and with the collaboration of the City of Arens de Mar and several magazines of the sector, to bring together some 500 frog specimens of over 60 different species. This is a unique opportunity to exchange experiences and tips in the assembly of aquaterraris , maintenance of plants in the diet of amphibians in the care and maintenance of the frogs in captive breeding strategies of these exotic species ... So, all you can discuss topics with other exhibitors and visitors. In addition, you can see all the new developments in heating apparatus, humidity controllers, micro-sprinkler to imitate rain, fog sprays to mimic ... in order to imitate the most of the habitat of the tropical rainy season.

This year, in addition to the commercial exhibition of animals and tools, have organized a series of free lectures on decorative terrariums , reproduction of orchids used in aquaterraris of frogs, and the breeding of urodels (salamanders, newts, axolotls ..) as a way to attract more attention from fans novices, and to guide them in the first steps in this hobby.
As last year, Zoo Veterinary Badalona will be responsible for the sanitary control of the species exposed, and to ensure the welfare conditions of these amphibians so specialized remote tropical areas.

Application of complementary diagnostic methods:
Radiology: We have the means to practice traditional X-rays, mammograms and specialized techniques to contrast (gastrointestinal transit, urography, myelography, etc.).
Electrocardiograph.

Endoscopy: we have the equipment needed to explore animals in very small size and to obtain biopsies of non-invasive way.
Specialized clinical laboratory:
Hematology and clinical biochemistry: in our laboratory applied the standard techniques for mammalian blood, and specific methods for birds, reptiles , amphibians and fish. Our panels designed for each type of animal and for certain diseases such as chlamydia panel, the panel of metabolic bone disease, the poultry liver panel, renal panel for the emergency and basic panels and general in different species.
Cytology: The usual staining techniques and specific (for micobacteris, chlamydia, megabacteris, fungi, etc..) Studies and routine cytology (Giemsa, Diff-Quick and methylene blue), and cell counts and evaluation of body fluids.
Immunological techniques for specific diseases: serology for diagnosis of salmonellosis, aspergillosis, Mycoplasmosis, chlamydia, viral diseases of small carnivores (bromine, panleucopènia, infectious peritonitis, etc..) Primate viral hepatitis, toxoplasmosis, etc. .
Molecular biology techniques (DNA and RNA) for the diagnosis of viral diseases (circovirus, polyomavirus, herpes) or bacteria (salmonella, chlamydia, tuberculosis, etc.). These species of exotic animals.

Hospitalization: specific facilities for the accommodation of such animals and animal care specialist in critical condition (oxygenation, fogging, or intravenous fluid therapy intraòssia, enteral and parenteral nutrition, etc.).


Emergency service in our center during normal hours (Monday to Friday from 9 to 21 pm and Saturdays from 10 to 14 hours). The rest of the time covered by the after-hours telephone consultations, as by their own veterinarians.
